About Us

Tom and Matt started the business 5 years ago as nerds, with some cool ideas, who wanted to explore running a business.

From a 2-man band which started with building AI enabled IoT devices for your feet… we are now  a team of 14, working with some of the UK’s biggest and most sophisticated businesses and organisations across the private and public sectors.

About the role

In the last 12 months we have grown our business significantly and plan to continue doing this growth.

So we are looking for a growth focused commercial person to come and work with our Commercial Director to help manage and grow our current customers and winning new ones in our target markets.

NB: this role is about growing our business sustainably by selling the right kind of service to the right kind of customer.

To date most of our business has come through partners, in-bound enquiries, our network and referrals. We believe there is a significant market opportunity for us right now and we want to broaden our business to new customers in our target market.

We are still early in our development of a commercial function, which means we are still working some stuff out, so there will a degree of ‘mucking in’ across all aspects of our sales operations but for the right person, who wants to build their career in all things commercial x AI, this is a fantastic opportunity to write your own destiny and develop your career.

What you will be doing

Based in Greater Manchester, UK. We’re a hybrid working team, typically spending 3 days in the office each week.

As an Account Executive you will be expected to build relationships with our customers; supporting them with the adoption of MLOps best practice, whilst looking for new opportunities to engage further with them.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Account management: strategic planning and execution of account plans for our key customers.
  • Client communication: be the commercial point of contact for new and existing business; the trusted commercial partner working in tandem with our delivery teams.
  • Technical support (non-technical!): whilst we don’t expect you become an ML Engineer (we have some really good ones) being able to talk credibly about what we do and support non-technical personas in the buying cycle is key.
  • Commercial development: how we do it today, might not be how we do it tomorrow, as such we are constantly reviewing how we do things commercially. From pricing structures through to how we sell - supporting the Commercial Director with this will be key.
  • Business development: as per the above. This will be a team of 2 (you plus our Commercial Director) so there will be a small element of finding new customers. However, this doesn’t mean cold calling for days on end but working with our C-Suite, networks, customers and attending events to find warm opportunities.
  • Sales execution: from lead to customer. Run your own buying cycles; managing the involvement of our delivery team to support you with presales activities.

  • Positive impact: We chose to build a business that will use AI for the benefit of society, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring we find customers and use cases that cement and enhance this belief and deliver a positive impact in the world.

As well as living the values you’ll also be able demonstrate:

  • Experience: ideally worked in a start-up environment and can show success at growing revenue. Experience in selling technical solutions is preferred but provided there is an aptitude to learn it is not mandatory.
  • Client communication: strong communicator, used to running meetings and communicating with multiple persona types on the technical front (we generally sell to Technical Leadership)
  • Technical aptitude: an understanding of cloud, software engineering, data and AI fundamentals is preferred.
  • Commercial: proven track record of growing revenue, selling service and product packages.
  • Business development: can find new business using innovative methods that are well thought out and executed. Running high impact and occasional vs. low impact and frequent activities.
  • Self-starter: with lots of support from our Commercial Director, and the business, you will be expected to build and deliver your own commercial plans.
